  • If you're watching using the newest version of react navigation: Make sure that you install react-navigation-tabs and that you import createBottomTabNavigator from 'react-navigation-tabs'

To save yourself headache follow the current documentation for tab navigation here (https://reactnavigation.org/docs/en/tab-based-navigation.html#a-tab-navigator-contains-a-stack-and-you-want-to-hide-the-tab-bar-on-specific-screens)

  • Instead of having all of this in the App.js
    I have it inside components/TabView/TabScreen.js
So how can I import it?
Can I provide it a name that is suitable to me or do I always have to call it createBottomTabNavigator
    ???

  • Using react-native-cli doesn't work, throw the error "navigation.navigate is not a function. (in 'navigation.navigate(navigation.state.routes[index].routeName)', 'navigation.navigate' is undefined)". How can I fix this? PS: using CRNA it's all good.
