The week two matchup featuring hall of fame quarterbacks Steve Young and Jim Kelly would prove to be an all time classic. The two teams combined for over a 1,000 yards of total offense and was the first game in NFL history in which neither team punted. The Bills would end up winning the game by a score of 34 to 31.

  • I was two years old that season. But this Is Not the Only no punt game In n.f.l history. It Has Happened four times sense the 2005 divisional round. How did anaylists conclude this as a super Bowl preview?

  • After all of that offense from both teams, how fitting that the Bills win on a field goal missed wide right.

    I'm looking forward to another decade where both of these clubs are the best in their conferences, but let's hope we finally see them meet in the Superbowl this time around.

  • Neither team punted. It is even more impressive for the 49ers because they did most of it without Jerry Rice.
    Both teams would end up getting beaten in the playoffs by an even better Dallas Cowboys team.
