If you are a user of furniture polish, you might want to re-think things. Furniture polish is a ‘catch all’ product which really doesn’t effect much, aside from a streaky and hazy finish over time. Instead, here are the right ways to care for wood furniture! I’ve even included a DIY furniture polish recipe for you.
Aside from mayo, I can’t stand milk or Jell-O. What food aversions do you have?
Enjoy!

U are funnnny, the Man can't eat. 🤔 Lol.😁😁
Beautifully explained!
I just bought a used wood kitchen table and chairs. What would you recommend to clean hand prints off the chairs and table? And what to disinfect? Thank you.
In this video you say 3 parts olive oil to 1 part vineger, but in another video you said 3 parts vineger, 1 part olive oil. Which is it?
Learn how to make it yourself with all details. Just google for 'woodprix' website:)
Hi. Would eatable grade mineral oil be better than olive, mayonnaise or vegetable oil in your cleaning solution? Mineral oil will not go rancid. I have used it on cutting boards for 45 years. Although I haven’t used it to clean wood furniture. I’ll give it a try in your vinegar and water solution. Thanks for your ideas.
My beautiful desk has a sticky film on it where my arm rest while working/writing… you know what I mean.
How can I gently remove that?
How do u clean mdf wood drawers? I try wiping the dust and that just leads to more dust. (It's a makeup vanity)
Do you have instructions on how to clean tea cup stains from coffee table?
PLEASE HELP! I spilled my essential oil on my brand new West Elm- Gemini White Lacquer desk. I wiped immediately after I spilled the oil, but I could still see the stain when I move from a specific angle. The light reflects and shows the stain. PLEASE HELP! I've been one of your loyal followers for years and I honestly need your help!!!!!
What spray did you used for cleaning furniture?
That guy gave You that huge ring and You just snatched away His meal – – hahahahaha !! Funny insert there hahaha – ->>>
Where to get that cloth
I hate mayonnaise…
I made it myself. Just take a fast look for woodprix. if you'd like to make it too.
lol that table isn’t even dirty. Make another video after a year of children wrecking a table with paint, markers, and everything they can get their hands on.
Try to make it with woodprix plans 🙂
So beautiful
Wait, you don't like mayo?! I get that we all have likes, dislikes, opinions….yada, yada! So, what do you put on your sandwiches? Mustard? Oh wait, you don't eat sandwiches, just salads…right? Just pokin fun!
CLEARLY I CAN UNDERSTAND VIDEO
Hi Melissa I have a 100 year old kitchen table. Won't get rid of it. I'm changing the chair pads and the wooden chairs are so dirty with black streaks. Must be old wax. How do I clean it. Tx I subscribed to your blog
I have spots on my hutch which I think were caused by my cleaning lady using too much white vinegar in her water and then not getting her rag wrung out dry enough. Is there anything I can do to correct this?
Melissa,
I love your videos! Can you make a video or something about keeping older houses clean? I live in a 19th century farm house and we have a ornate wood staircase with carpet up the center. The trouble is, its impossible to keep clean!! What are your thoughts?
Thanks!
Love ur vids mayonnaise makes me gag. Drove my mom nuts! She'd try to sneak it into things I always knew!
I was just slightly confused for this cleaning solution. I used the 1 part distilled white vinegar and 3 parts mineral spirits. The mineral spirits are JASCO odorless mineral spirits from the hardware store. Obviously this formulation is probably not safe for kitchen cleaning/Food prep
Did I make a good effective general purpose cleaner for current woodworking projects of mine and for shop cleanup, specifically wood desks, cubby’s and work benches.
My concern is using mineral spirits from a hardware store instead olive oil like you directed. Please tell me your opinion.
I’m self taught and any help you could give would be very appreciated and generous.

Hi I have mahogany dining table. My grandkids have left fingerprints on my seats and table top it won’t come off. What kind I use
All of my woodworks I made with woodprix. Google and try it.
The enzyme cleaner bac out just made the cloudy table worse, it was like it just spread around the wax build up and made more of it. I'm assuming I misunderstood your suggested use for it? I have a several clients with smears all over their wood furniture from use of cleaners in the past and general heat wear and tare. Tried to help, made it worse. Any tips?
Nut oil like almond oil is better than oilive oil. You do not need to mix vinegar which will eat the wood.
Do it yourself , go to woodprix website and learn how to make it.
I agree: was never a big fan of wood furniture polish. Seems to just leave streaks that never go away no matter how much you rub.
I'm not a fan of mayo either…
I use Howard's polish. Its Bees Wax and Orange oil. Most fine furniture/Antique dealers use it. Mahogany etc. It can't hurt anything. I hate cranberries, like in kale salad. Hate Pumpkin Spice everything except in ice cream or cookies.
